SFI® Wood Supply Policy
As part of its wood fiber supply and chain of custody program, Arbec Forest Products Inc. adheres to SFI® values and principles and is committed to making the best efforts to avoid the supply of wood or wood fiber from any of the following controversial sources:
1. Forestry Activities Contrary to Federal or Provincial or State Laws Specifically Relating to the Following Subjects:
Fiber from the conversion of forest land to another use
Legal protection of threatened or endangered species
The requirements of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)
Labor laws applying to forestry workers
Aboriginal rights of property, occupancy and use
2. Fiber from Illegal Logging
3. Fiber from a Country That Has No Effective Social Laws
